Six of Wands
We have a victory card here. As he is welcomed by everyone, a victorious man riding a horse carries a wand with a shrub wreath. After the Five of Wands' rivalry, he emerged victoriously and is now getting the acclaim he deserves. This gives him confidence and encourages him to keep going. If you want to retain the support you've gotten, you'll have to keep putting on a fantastic show.
If you discover the Six of Wands in your spread, your progress and previous efforts are going to pay off and it will need self-confidence. This card foretells triumph or some degree of success in the future, whether in the form of acknowledgment for previous effort or monetary reward. If you're anticipating some kind of news, this card is most certainly a sign of positive things to come. However, it serves as a subtle reminder to be modest about your accomplishments. If you don't want to lose friends or invite retaliation, don't allow your good fortune to get the best of you.
A huge white horse is shown on the Six of Wands card, which is dressed in festive yellow attire. A man sits on the horse, looking out over the crowd. The audience is applauding this man in honor of a recent win, and they are waving their wands/staffs in the air. The man wears a wreath on his head and his wand/staff, indicating that he is the victor. This man might easily be seen marching into town after a major win in war.
Victory Is Yours! Now What?
This card is mostly concerned with success and victory. The man on the horse deserves the acclaim he's receiving; he's conquered something significant, whether it's another country through war or a neighboring nation via diplomatic agreement. Whatever the case may be, the man is being lauded for his achievements. When you see this card, you know it's about time you got some well-deserved recognition for your efforts. While this applause may be public, it can also be personal — self-praise is just as valuable as praise from others!
Another important aspect of this card is acknowledgment - the ability to recognize your own and others' achievements. It's difficult to look at success objectively because we constantly want to do more, go larger, and achieve more after we've achieved a goal. This card is telling you that it's time to take a breath and appreciate all you've accomplished thus far.
Finally, this card represents pride - the sense of admiration for oneself and others. In our contemporary culture, we are frequently taught to be scared of pride, therefore we seldom allow ourselves to feel it... even when we achieve amazing things. It's one thing to be modest, but it's quite another to ignore your own accomplishments. This card may be advising you to be proud of yourself for what you've accomplished thus far. This card may also represent arrogance, or pride carried to an extreme. Keep your pride in control and in balance, and everything will go well.
When drawing the Six of Wands, consider the following questions. What are your thoughts on success? When was the last time you congratulated yourself? Do you believe you are deserving of praise? Do you fear being conceited? How can you achieve a healthy level of self-esteem and pride in your life?
